ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 27, 2010) – Governor Martin O’Malley issued the following statement today following last night’s announcement of a comprehensive agreement between Constellation Energy Group and EDF:
“I am pleased that Constellation Energy and EDF successfully resolved their differences and came to a resolution that preserves the thousands of jobs that will be created with the development of Calvert Cliffs 3. Together, with Senator Mikulski, members of Maryland's Congressional Delegation, the AFL-CIO, building trades, and steelworkers, we are committed to keeping those 5,000 union jobs associated with Calvert Cliffs 3, in Maryland.”
